Sean Devarennes
DPT, CSCS*D, CISSN
Ice Hockey has been a major part of Sean’s life as a player, Strength & Conditioning Coach, On-ice instructor, and more recently, a sports Physical Therapist. Playing most of his youth in the maritime minor hockey association in Canada, to Junior A in USA (EHL during 2012-2014) to college hockey at Mercyhurst University from 2014-2018, his passion for hockey is definite.
After graduation, he was able to take his experiences as a high level athlete into the strength and conditioning world at Peak Fitness Dieppe, Canada, and Pro Evolution Hockey for about 4 years as a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) in which he worked in both the rehab setting and off-season/in-season sports performance for players ranging from minor hockey to collegiate and professional players which included NHL, AHL, ECHL, Europe, NCAA Division I-III, and also included working full-time for Acadie-Bathurst Titan of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and Amherst Ramblers of the Junior A Maritime Hockey League from 2019-2021.
To further increase his knowledge in rehabilitation for athletes, Sean returned to the United States to pursue his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Marymount University from 2021-2024. During this time, he has worked with local community hockey teams which included the Washington Capitals of the NHL during their pre-season and off-season camps. Upon graduating, Sean has continued to pursue his passion to help hockey players get back on the ice in top form by combining both his physical therapy and strength & conditioning background together.
